Our Approach

At Identity Leader Development, we take a holistic approach to Performance Management. As a process of identifying performance levels of individual employees within their role, the Annual Performance Management process for managers can be a stressful event for both leader and team member.

eThe performance criteria can be subjective rather than objective, particularly for office/professional staff,i where output is not unit measurable. Monthly1:1 development meetings can be skipped completely due to time pressures. Those meetings that do go ahead can be ineffective if recent performance issues have not been discussed. The annual appraisal can be emotional for both manager and team member if there is disagreement about the general  individual rating given or if appraisal of specific behaviors, raised by the manager are contested by the employee.
